Star City Golf Club may still be under construction, but that didn’t stop us from stepping in when a local band needed a hand.
When local band Caleb & Co had their first-ever live show canceled last minute, we got the call. Their original venue had to back out and they were left without a stage less than 24 hours before showtime. We were happy to offer up what we had: an open parking lot, a vision, and a great view.
It wasn’t a typical concert setup, but the band made it work. They brought their gear, set up outside, and put on a great show. Friends, family, and people from the community showed up with lawn chairs and good energy. The weather was perfect and with the views of the sunset, mountains, and the Mill Mountain Star, it turned into a great night of live music and local support.
Caleb & Co put on a solid set, showcasing their original music with some familiar covers mixed in. For their first show, it couldn’t have gone much better — even without a formal stage.
While our indoor golf facility isn’t finished yet, this was a reminder of what we want Star City Golf Club to be: a space where people can come together, whether it’s for golf, music, or just being part of something local.
Thanks to Caleb & Co for trusting us with your debut, and to everyone who showed up and made it a night to remember. We’re excited to welcome you all back when we officially open and hopefully host more events like this in the future!
